By • Apr 1st, 2009 • Category: 26th Story, Humor

godin-2HarperStudio is stunned by the number of people taking their April Fool’s post seriously. As a result, they are now considering moving forward with some aspects of the program, though of course the free lunch part will depend on Seth Godin and Chris Anderson’s willingness and availability…

The free ebook for a tweet or blog post is a solid tactic. Upgrading to the hardcover seems a bit like payola. But, it was the plausibility that hooked people.

Ok, we’ll do it! We’ll get a mailbox to email into for ebooks and you can get the next one by sending us the link to your blog post (or Tweet).

Is this a real deal? I thought HarperStudio didn’t exceed a certain amount when it came to advances.

Krista: We don’t exceed $100,000 per book on our advances, but we have done several multi-book deals.
