I Am Neurotic (And So Is Bernie Madoff)

By • Mar 3rd, 2009 • Category: 26th Story, Books

madoffThis week’s New York Mag cover story on Madoff made me think of Lianna Kong’s book i am neurotic (and so are you).:

“Bernie- whose office is in the the famously ovid Lipstick building- couldn’t bear curves. ‘He was paranoid about them,’ says one employee. In one office, he drank out of square drinking glasses, stored his pencils in square holders, tossed his trash into square cans. He insisted that the blinds align with window frames – ‘We used a tape measure,’ says one employee.’”

What’s with rainmakers and right angles?

We’re having a ball with Lianna’s book and would love to hear what you think of this cover.

I love the cover! It’s simple and makes a very hilarious point.

I can dig it! Makes me think of traveling and being terrified of your unfamiliar alarm clock. Will you make your flight/meeting/wedding? I’ve set two clocks plus a cell phone alarm in response.

So glad you guys like it. Thanks for the feedback!

If the purpose of this cover was to get me to pick up a book I would never pick up, this works. In a clunky designer’s hands, this concept could have easily been overdone. It’s modern, has nice color and type, and it promises fun inside. Have no idea what the book is about, but I’d look to see.
